Desiree Ramirez, LCSW:
Desiree holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Eastern New Mexico University and a Masters of Social Work Degree from New Mexico Highlands University. Desiree is currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC). Desiree's work experience includes working with incarcerated men and women and promoting Substance Abuse and Mental Health programming within correctional Institutions and inpatient residential settings. In addition, Desiree also has experience working with families and children with severe emotional disorders within community outpatient settings. Desiree strives to maintain a deep connection and alliance with her clients and is able to foster this relationship with her outgoing personality, optimism, positive energy, and compassion for those she works with. Desiree's approach to healing is through trauma-informed care, strengths based, and mindfulness. Desiree believes change is possible no matter what phase of life one is in and will actively work with her clients to explore ones deepest feelings and inspire them to utilize their strengths within to develop and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
