Jay Timmons LSAA

Jay Timmons is a graduate from New Mexico Highlands University receiving a master’s degree in social work (MSW). He has extensive life and educational experience in in the field substance abuse and has been in recovery for 10+ years.  Jay’s life experience is what has motivated him to start a second career as a clinical social worker. Jay is passionate about assisting other people on their journey through the recovery process so that they may also feel the incredible happiness, contentment and fulfilment in their lives that he has experienced on his amazing journey of sobriety, self-discovery and healing. He works from a strengths perspective that includes trauma-informed and holistic approaches, mindfulness techniques and a commitment to non-judgmental practice to enhance client outcomes and well-being.

Originally from Denver, Colorado Jay relocated to Rio Rancho, New Mexico in 2005. Prior to graduating Jay worked for 30 + years as an automotive collision repair technician. Jay’s interests include road trips on his motorcycle, going to see live music and has recently rediscovered the enjoyment of hitting the links for a round of golf. Jay is committed to providing the best quality treatment outcomes for the clients he serves.
